Video Highlights
Between the 17 and 20 of November 2011 the International Federation of Poker hosted the first official IFP World Championships in London. The event began with the IFP Duplicate Poker Nations Cup featuring 12 national federation teams from around the world, competing first in the capsules of the EDF Energy London Eye and then in the historic County Hall. Following this IFP hosted the first official World Championship of Poker, 135 of the world's best poker along with celebrities and amateur battling it out for a share of the $500,000 prize pool.
Nations Cup Day 1 - Summary Video
A round-up of the activities from the first day of IFP's Mind Sports Festival event, including the IFP Congress and the first round of the Nations Cup taking place on the EDF Energy London Eye. A total of 12 nations, including a team from Zynga, competed in Duplicate Poker, and exciting new format that emphasizes the skill element of the game. There were also competitions in Chess, Go, Bridge, and Draughts.
Nations Cup Day 2 - Summary Video
A round-up of the IFP's Duplicate Poker Nations Cup Final. The six teams still in contention included the "digital federation" Zynga, followed on the live stream by a worldwide audience. After an amazing final, Team Germany won the first official Nations Cup, with Brazil coming second and France finishing third.
The Table Day 1 - Summary Video
Summary video of the first day of IFP's 2011 World Poker Championship The Table. More than 130 of the best poker players around the world, along with celebrities and amateurs, competed for the title of official World Champion. IFP president Holden started proceedings with the traditional cry of "shuffle-up and deal". The 15 tables were gradually reduced to one final table, lead by the Spanish pro Raul Mestre.
The Table Day 2 - Summary Video
Nine players returned to the table on Sunday November 21 2011, their aim to become the first official world poker champion. Only one player could triumph and only after steering their way through what would prove to be a fantastic and fiercely competitive final table.
